TGIF! And a hearty thanks to those who joined The Ankler for our starry Women Shaping Television event Wednesday afternoon at Spago. I’m still buzzing from the high-quality face time with so many top executives and showrunners, not to mention Katey Rich’s insightful panel conversations with the many Emmy-nominated stars who attended. The quote of the day may have been from The Pitt nominee Taylor Dearden — who, after being asked what story she’d pitch to Hollywood right now, delivered a compassionate plea: “Honestly, just more jobs would be great.” Even for actors on a hit show, she emphasized, “We do have a stretch where we’re not working, so that’d be great to fill it with anything.”
