Claire Atkinson

Claire Atkinson is a veteran journalist covering the global media and entertainment business across the U.S. and Europe. Her reporting focuses on the deals, power players and forces shaping the industry on both sides of the Atlantic.

Most recently, she was chief media correspondent at Insider, and previously served as senior media editor at NBC News, reporting across NBCNews.com, Nightly News, MSNBC and NBC News Now. She is also a regular guest on CNBC and has appeared on CNN.

Earlier in her career, Atkinson covered major media, film, music and sports deals for the New York Post, where she was also a Sunday columnist. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Ad Age, Broadcasting & Cable, and leading U.K. publications including The Independent and The Observer. She also appears in Liz Garbus’ Netflix documentary, Dynasty: The Murdochs.

Atkinson splits her time between New York, London and Nice.
