THEN: Humanity continues to astound with its creative uses of AI . . . including this new report from across the pond about one that won’t put anyone out of work . . . but will put them back in the dating pool — folks are now using CHATGPT to write break-up messages for them.
ALTHOUGH: When Jackson Hole feels the need to develop an INSTA filter that tells you “Hey dummy — you’re too close to the f’in animals for your personal safety” . . . progress is always a fluid concept.
AND: YOUTUBE became the first streaming platform to get more than 10% of total streaming minutes in a month on NIELSEN’s The Gauge report, notching 10.4% in July.
TUBI usage also continued its surge, notching a 2.1% share, and tying DISNEY+ (it was also close to 3x of PLUTO’s share for the month).
While PEACOCK got its 2nd highest monthly viewership share (only behind its NFL playoff game month of Jan. 2024), obviously most Olympics viewing happened in August.
A REST IN PEACE: Goes out to broadcasting legend Phil Donahue, who died at the age of 88 this weekend in Manhattan.
