Welcome to the Jamboree, my weekly series of quick(ish) takes on the industry’s passing parade.

Today comes news of Apple TV+s jaw-dropping money losses . . . I’ll get to that below. But first . . .

Après Zimmer, All Eyes on Bryan and Ari

Whatever the reasons behind the departure of Jeremy Zimmer from the helm of UTA, there are two people who must not appreciate the precedent of a peaceful transition at the helm of a talent agency one bit, in the same way that a dictator can’t tolerate free and fair elections by his neighbors.

We’ve spent oceans of ink in the past decade talking about, even demanding, news of the Iger Succession while two giant companies — between them involved in almost every deal that takes place in Hollywood — remain in the hands of the same leaders who have guided them since the ’90s.
