☀️MARVELS tanks, as DISNEY 2023 woes mount

Priscilla showing results / STARZ layoffs hit programming group / NETFLIX gets Terminator anime

Evenin’! This is Sean McNulty (connect with me on LinkedIn here if ya like), and here’s the Hollywood + Media news to know on SUNDAY Nov. 12, 2023.

Where I gotta say, it’s kinda nice to have my Sunday afternoons back.

I enjoyed taking a nice late afternoon walk in Central Park for the sunset today… in lieu of watching the GIANTS first half of “football” against DALLAS (final score: 49-17, and it wasn’t even that close).

So in lieu of another GIANTS losing gif, here’s a greeting card from late autumn in NYC.

ALSO: Travis Kelce hopped down to Buenos Aires this weekend for the TSwift concert – always nice when your boyfriend returns the favor. Can’t wait to see what the ratings bump is.

IN THIS EDITION

  • The strikes have unintentionally given DISNEY what I’m sure is welcome break from MARVEL movies in 2024 (save for one that kinda defies the genre) – a look at where the franchise is at, rounding out 2023, as specialty market shows some life.

    • A look at DISNEY’s #2023toForget at the box office, and how Iger has cleared the decks to right the ship in 2024 #DoubleAnalogy.

WAKEUP BOX OFFICE POLL

Turns out that The Marvels weekend 💰 gross starting with a “5”… wasn’t pessimistic enough of a prediction. Yikes. Kudos to the bears.
