Mornin! This is Sean McNulty and here’s the Hollywood + Media news to know on MONDAY December 12, 2022.

AND: GOLDEN GLOBES nominations are here (the voting period is Dec 16 to Jan 3).

BOX OFFICE
1. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” : $11 Million ($410 Million US, $768 Million global)
-37% drop from last weekend, will become #2 grossing pic for 2022 in the US next week. Briefly.
Through weekend 4 in the US:
“BP1”: $605 Million
“BP2”: $410 Million (small caveat that “BP2” is 30 mins longer)
2. “Violent Night” : $8.7 Million ($27 Million US, $42 Million global)
A respectable -40% drop, although given there was no new competition, this isn’t too surprising.
$20 Million budget here, this will be a nice piece of business for UNI.
3. “Strange World” : $3.6 Million ($30 Million US, $53 Million global)
-29% drop from last weekend
Will hit DIS+ by CHRISTMAS
4. The Menu” : $2.7 Million ($29 Million US, $58 Million global)

-26% drop
