YAH: NETFLIX is spreading the #pricehike love overseas, jacking prices 33% for U.K. ad-tier subs . . . after its U.S. price hike back in Q1 this year. This is the 2nd NETFLIX price hike in the U.K. in 2026 alone.

OH: Here are your Creative Arts Emmy winners from night 1.

THEN: Charles Barkley is retiring again — he was on The Bill Simmons Pod saying he will call it a day on Inside the NBA after this upcoming NBA season if Ernie Johnson does.

HOWEVER: The NFL renewed Roger Goodell’s contract through the 2030 season (and the next TV rights & Players Association negotiations).

WELL: Don’t look at IRS taxpayer revenue to fund the federal film & TV tax incentive program — revenue from IRS audits was -35% YoY in 2025 (a deficit of $3.5B), largely thanks to the Trump administration’s gutting of the IRS employee base.

BUT: Eh, I’m sure this will work out just fine for the tax base, right?

PLUS: Norah O’Donnell is returning to CBS Mornings alongside Gayle King and Nate Burleson, in addition to her role at the revamped 60 Minutes.
