Remember the ’90s and early aughts? It was supermodels, mighty malls and the rise of the billionaire class. Host Tatiana Siegel takes listeners back there with guests Matt Tyrnauer and Jenny Ewig, executive producers behind Victoria’s Secret: Angels and Demons (now Hulu Originals’ most-watched documentary in history). The three-parter explores one of the era’s most influential men, Les Wexner, founder of the lingerie brand and retail empire that also included Abercrombie & Fitch and The Limited. Once hailed by Wall Street as the “Merlin of the Mall,” Wexner also had a decades-long friendship and $400 million financial entanglement with Jeffrey Epstein. Says Tyrnauer, the series’ director and also the documentarian behind Where’s My Roy Cohn? and Studio 54: “It’s the only project I’ve ever done where I actually have many, many more questions than when I started.”
