Power of an Enemies List
Rob Long on filling time during this industry 'hiatus' — even if you're a more positive person than he is
When you’re filming a movie or a television show, when it’s the last shot of the day, the first assistant director will call out, “This is the Martini Shot!” I call these stories “Martini Shots” because they’re exactly the kinds of stories we tell — and lessons we learn — after we’ve wrapped for the day. - Rob Long
This week, Rob implores striking writers and actors to do something elevating right now (even if he is not; note the title of this episode). In other words, actors should write; writers should take acting lessons. And so on. (And please, he begs, no more pitches about Ozempic.) Meanwhile, remember: Everything you hated about the business before the strike you’re probably still going to hate about this business when the strike is over. So stop worrying.

Power of an Enemies List
Enemies list are very therapeutic. But like a terrible script it belongs in a locked draw.
You are fantastic. Always a great listen. Thanks so much.
