“Have you ever watched a writer search for a nearby outlet, open up his laptop, plug his computer in, and then get to work?” asks Rob. “Takes hours.” Which may only partially explain the “supplements” the industry uses to cope, including Rob’s own microdosing. “But it never really gets to what's inside you… [that] little movie you run for yourself that seems to show only the times you were embarrassing and wrong.” And somehow, he concludes, this is why it's important to be grateful for that free trip to Azerbaijan.
