β˜€οΈ MEAN GIRLS takes πŸ‘‘, BEEKEEPER shows #DadTV has theatrical life

The PEACOCK NFL numbers in context / David O. Russell gets new pic / PRIME VIDEO cuts in Asia

Mornin! This is Sean McNulty (connect with me on LinkedIn here if ya like), and here’s the Hollywood + Media news to know on MONDAY January 15, 2023.

Where this about sums up the COWBOYS’ season. Nicely done PACKERS!

The local Dallas NBC affiliate of course kept it super classy – dumping out of the game with about 1:45 left instead of letting the game, ya know, finish… and watching Detroit fans enjoy their first playoff victory since the 1990s started. Never change Dallas.

BRRR: Always nice to see Taylor joining the real fans in the stands owner’s box of AAROWHEAD STADIUM in the -10 degree tundra of KANSAS CITY on Saturday night. Always sucks when condensation from the heat in the luxury suite ruins your view of the game amirite? πŸ™„

AND: I’ll break down what that β€œ23 Million viewers for the PEACOCK NFL Wildcard game” headline out there means (and kudos to Ted the series finally getting plenty of love on PEACOCK πŸ₯³)… and what it doesn’t – but a big congrats goes out to NBC on a huge number regardless of the particulars, and for running a quality streaming-only production. I watched it both on my phone and TV at various points and also had zero issues.

ALSO: Here are your PGA Award film & TV nominees.

PLUS: Here are your Critics Choice Awards winners.

THEN: This was a fascinating 60 Minutes piece last night on CBS around advances in brain surgery… some only using ultrasound waves, to help those with severe drug addiction and Alzheimer’s disease. Highly recommend.

HOUSEKEEPING: No Wakeup tomorrow since ya’ll are off today, see ya Weds.

MOST IMPORTANTLY: A happy Martin Luther King Jr. day to you all.
