Where saying something in the ‘public town square’ will now cost $1 a month in NEW ZEALAND and the PHILIPPINES.

Yes, X is running a test of charging a $1 a month fee to new X users in those countries for the ability tweet (or… X? what’s the new word for tweeting? 🤷‍♂️), or also retweet anything.

ALSO: SUNDANCE tix go on sale today.

PLUS: SNL next week 👇.

THEN: META now allows you to limit INSTA following you across the web – info here.

🪧 STRIKE FORCE:

IN TODAY’S EDITION

  • Tom Cruise had the most popular movie in America on NETFLIX last week… and no, it’s not an Mission: Impossible pic.

    • Plus int’l audiences continue their big October on the service and more, with a South Korean pic taking the crown.

  • Add SHOWTIME SPORTS next to MTV NEWS as longtime institutions now abandoned at PAR.

  • A look at Q3 projections & what to keep an eye on in the NETFLIX Q3 report later today… as the company gets a favorable tax ruling from a U.S. District judge.

  • Big football audience numbers return this weekend – except for NFL games in Europe which continue to be duds, as College Football sets an impressive feat and more.
