Yes, our least-favorite global sports organization leader, Gianni Infantino, withdrew his bid to create a PE-backed, for-profit arm of FIFA late Friday afternoon . . . after doubling down on it just that morning.
This came after his top advisor (the former GS exec) resigned and his COO said the offshoot must “not go ahead” and was the “project of one person,” following the protests of UEFA and CONCACAF.
Infantino is up for re-election in March and was previously thought to be running unopposed at FIFA(somehow), but . . . yeah, let’s see how that goes. Nominations are due in November.
YEAH: Quite a disparity in trial date notions for WARNAMOUNT, with PSKY pitching the judge for a November start and the state AGs/WGA look at April. Lemme guess, they’re gonna go with January?
WELL: Elon’s getting back into politics (that’s gotta help SPACEX stock turn its trends around, right?), committing to spend at least $100M this fall on Republican candidate races.
