Mornin! This is Sean McNulty and here’s the Hollywood + Media news to know on THURSDAY October 13, 2022.
Where NETFLIX is one big step closer to being the biggest deal in my hometown since I left for college. Eh ok fine, it was worth a shot. Sadly I was kind of a #medianerd back then too.
Their bid was accepted to establish NETFLIX’s 2nd biggest soundstage / production facility in the world (289 acres) at an old military base in Monmouth County, NJ (a little over an hour south of Manhattan near the Shore).
Still some stages to go here (state/county approvals, finalized deal terms etc) - but if any NETFLIX folks need local tips on where to eat and get good beer, my email address is at the bottom of every newsletter.
AND: Trevor Noah’s last day at “The Daily Show” will be Thu Dec 8. The show will pick up again on January 17, plans TBA.
