Kudos to David Ellison for being the only Hollywood envoy on the big MBS dinner guest list last night (count Tim Cook as ya like) and to . . . Bryson DeChambeau and Christian Ronaldo for being reps from the sports world alongside FIFA head Gianni Infantino (thanks for those expedited World Cup ticket holder visas!).
AH: NKOTB extended its Vegas residency next year by 16 more dates, making for 24 total in 2026.
OH: The Emmys will be on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, on NBC (it has football on Sunday nights, so Monday it is).
THEN: Comedians Bert Kreischer and Tom Segura will be special guests during NETFLIX’s NFL Christmas Day games alongside WWE’s Seth Rollins. NETFLIX will also be producing announcer calls of the games in French, German, Portuguese and Spanish.
AH: META isn’t a monopoly, phew. That was a close one! 😅 Now, has anyone been watching the don’t call it PG-13 “INSTAGRAM for Teens” ad (featuring a dad and his teen drummer daughter) that META is flooding the airwaves with this month and thought, “Wait, META bought that platform 13 years ago . . . and they’re just touting protections for teenagers now?” #LostGeneration
PLUS: The AMERICAN CINEMATHEQUE will operate and program the Westwood Theater in L.A. that was bought by the Jason Reitman-led VILLAGE DIRECTORS CIRCLE group (which will actively participate in programming). A 2027 re-opening is targeted.
AND: 3 ARTS Sports made its first big client addition with COMMANDERS QB Jayden Daniels, who is also looking to launch his own production outfit.
HUH: We’re now signing cheese. 2025 is nothing if not all about the hustle. BTW, I hear Dutch Gouda is not happy with their reps in case anyone wants to take a meeting.
SO: Add MICROSOFT and NVIDIA investing $15B in ANTHROPIC AI, and ANTHROPIC agreeing to spend $30B to rent MICROSOFT servers running on NVIDIA chips, as our newest chapter to this gif. Eh, it’ll all work out fine — go get it, bud! Enjoy your NVIDIA earnings afternoon.
YUP: Gotta love NEXSTAR’s pitch to the FCC for its TEGNA deal saying things like it’ll allow the company “to continue not only investing in high-quality journalism and local news, but in serving our local communities in the best possible way,” . . . but leaving out the part about the $300M in “revenue synergies and net operating expense reductions” that is targeted in the deal.
AT LAST: NETFLIX is combining its 2 growing passions — licensed kids programming and creators — with its love of the holidays for an Elmo & Mark Rober’s Merry Giftmas special on Dec. 8. So, any chance we can work in Jeff Ross somewhere?
