Where the NCAA had a lot of great games this weekend as College Hoops season begins to dial into March Madness… but the best one had to be this ARIZONA STATE definition of a buzzer beater 🙌.
AND: Did you even win an Award this weekend bro?
Everything, Everywhere took the Awards race lead with a win at the PGA AWARDS.
GDT’s Pinocchio took the top prize at the ANNIE AWARDS.
Here are your NAACP AWARDS winners, with Angela Bassett and Will Smith winning top awards for BP2 and Emancipation respectively (Will was not in attendance).
The commercial-less SAG AWARDS winners are here, with again Everything, Everywhere taking the ensemble and 3 individual acting wins.
And gotta say the YOUTUBE live streaming metric beats any Streaming ‘minutes viewed’ or Nielsen number in the business - can we do this more often?
This was about an hour into the show last night - the show had about 270k live viewers.
An hour after the show it was listed as 443k views, with 144k for the ‘audio descriptive show’ feed.
A POST-WEEKEND READ: This weekend I had time to get to this Randall Park profile in the New Yorker about making his first film Shortcomings that played at SUNDANCE last month - glad that I did, sharing here for the inclined as well.
☘️ALERT: Just a fun read for any fellow Irish out there, with Paul Mescal & Brendan Gleeson both slipped right into their Gaelic for BAFTA carpet interviews last week. Colin Farrell’s… looks to be about as good as mine is.
AND: The JONAS BROTHERS are doing a 5-night gig at the Marquis Theater on BROADWAY starting March 14. They’re doing a US tour starting in August.
ALSO: The Late Late Show with James Corden isn’t taking any WGA Strike risks… they’ll air their finale as well as a primetime special on Thu April 27, 3 days before a strike would potentially begin.
CLARIFICATION: Kane Brown is co-hosting the CMT Awards on CBS on April 2, not the CMA Awards… which are on ABC usually in November. Kane’s Fire Country guest role is still on CBS April 7.
