I was born in 1964. In the Sixties, TV was dominated by hospital dramas, lawyer/courtroom dramas, cop shows, mystery shows, and westerns. In the 1970s, TV was dominated by hospital dramas, cop shows and crime dramas, and lawyer and courtroom dramas. Westerns rode off into the sunset. In the 80s, TV was dominated by "Edgy" hospital dramas, "Edgy" cop and crime dramas, and "Slick" lawyer courtroom dramas. Westerns had been replaced by "Prime Time Soap Operas". In the 1990s, TV was dominated by "Slick & Edgy" hospital dramas, lawyer/courtroom dramas, prime time soap operas, and Cops shows. Fox emerged to give us "edgy" sitcoms, "edgier" cop shows, and the X-files. The first two decades of the 21st century has seen TV dominated by hospital dramas, lawyer/courtroom dramas, and cop shows Prime Time Soaps have moved to the streamers, and pay-cable to be replaced by reality TV and game shows.

Not a psychic, but in the 2050s, TV will be dominated by hospital dramas, lawyer/courtroom dramas, and cop shows.

[Yes, sitcoms made/make up the bulk of every Top-20 list since 1955, but nobody can predict the formula(s) that guarantee which ones have legs. If you can, you're under paid]
