ALSO: Marty’s coming to Jersey!! 💪 Scorsese will be getting a Filmmaker Tribute honor at the MONTCLAIR FILM FESTIVAL on Oct. 27, and also sit down for an interview with Stephen Colbert who helps put the fest together with his wife Evie, president of the fest.
PLUS: The annual Stand Up For Heroes event in NYC benefitting the Bob Woodruff Foundation will be Nov. 6 in NYC will feature Jon Stewart, Tracy Morgan, Josh Groban, John Mellencamp and others, with proceeds going to help veterans and their families.
The foundation has raised $70 million over its 17-year existence.
AND: A shout out to IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond who turned the tables during his GOLDMAN SACHS conference interview yesterday, asking GS analyst Stephen Laszczyk (his interviewer) right there on stage why GS has rated IMAX stock as a “sell” for the past 2 years, while almost every other analyst has a “buy” rating on it 😂. The Nun II is the big new movie… the original did $53 million back in 2018. This one seems to be tracking in the low $30 millions… but could be up to around $40 million. Horror amirite? And September horror generally has a good track record, so lets go with:
