OF WORK: WEWORK still lost $586 Million in Q3 (good news! down from $800 Million last year!), and will close 40 more locations.
OF AI: AMAZON’s Alexa unit reportedly still lost about $5 Billion a year (in “recent years”) according to the WSJ, and most people use their Echo speakers to do a low ROI activity called “listen to music” and set timers, not buy things, according to data cited by The Information. (Alexa is currently an area of focus for cutbacks & distributing employees to work in other divisions)
