Where it’s $7 NETFLIX day! Can’t wait to see what beer Ads I’ve been missing in streaming due to AMAZON PRIME’s ban on alcohol advertising in TNF (both AbInBev & MOLSON COORS have signed on at NETFLIX… who hopefully also got a free keg or two of The Beast for the office. Well minus MICROSOFT’s cut of a couple pitchers).
Now - what to do with my extra $3 a month?
MEANWHILE: NETFLIX hired 5 more senior Ad biz execs, including AMAZON’s former head of Sports Strategy. Huh. (she’ll be VP of Ad Measurement strategy for the record). Other execs are from YT, TIKTOK, GROUPM and SNAP… not the traditional TV or even SVOD biz.
ALSO: 52% of you joined in me in a “makes me want to stomp a copier” reaction to the “Office Space” spot yesterday.
AND: The latest TWITTER report puts the big layoffs at 50+% or 3,700 folks, with the process starting tomorrow, per Bloomberg. And the ones that are left - yeah that remote work thing is dunzo.
