Glad to hear Sean point out the AI gist to Richard because a lot of media is glossing over this: WGA is not asking for a final disposition on the application of AI to the writing process; they are asking essentially for an agreed moratorium as the tech evolves. Given that most of the actual architects of AI are all crying for hitting the brakes in general, a moratorium within the industry doesn’t seem like that radical a notion and is one I suspect the DGA and SAG align with.
