On the money, as it were. A brilliant dissection of the role of fame in popular media and culture. The point of being famous for being famous is fame itself. Fame, not accomplishment, has given the K-women fabulous fortunes, huge houses, wardrobes so big they require their own storage areas. Their fame rubs off on their designer relationships. Kim wears Balenciago and lo and behold she’s in Balenciaga advertising running in fashion media, such as Vogue. Congrats to Mr Boucher for his analysis of the vicious cycle of fame and fashion.

Is there a way to get Richard's columns, but not these fashion ones?

Wow…this is super bitter, completely off base, and not worthy of the intelligent commentary usually coming from the Ankler. Like fashion and celebrity have never mated in public? Have you never seen pictures from Cannes since it’s inception? Or any of the thousands of hollywood red carpets? This is that same tired old trope of Kardashian hating, which usually comes from people who are old, do not actually watch the show, and are harboring some odd resentments of their own personal type that have nothing to do with the family.
