Vying for cash now: CAA agents, increasingly frustrated with management’s handling of the firm’s $7 billion valuation as part of its coming majority ownership by Artemis. Amid rumblings that employees — many of whom stayed for years waiting for a major liquidity event — may only be able to cash-out 10 percent of their equity, with some top performers’ own vested shares worth eight figures, “we’re now at this point where at least some of them are starting to feel like they’ve been duped a little bit,” says Peter Kiefer, who joins Sean McNulty, Elaine Low and Richard Rushfield to discuss his recent reporting on the anger brewing.
