#48 is a pet peeve of mine. What we don't need is more USC, NYU film school grads as well as kids of rich parents taking up all the internship positions. Less privileged kids need to get paid for these jobs because otherwise only the rich kids could afford to take these jobs. You want more diversity in Hollywood? Try hiring the Latinos who attend Cal State LA instead of the USC kids on the (e.g.) crew team.
Culture, local resources, local industry experience, etc. all play an immeasurable role in what works, how, and how well. Particularly in entrepreneurship, innovation, and creativity.
Hollywood needs to pivot and evolve, as does every industry and industry hub, but we still need the 'idea' of Hollywood and all that it means.
The industry would be completely transformed if it did just THREE of these things. Special shout-out to #30, people don't appreciate this but it's totally true.
This pandemic has changed everything so I'm more than optimistic that these changes proposed will be implemented in the short term. I don't think the industry has a choice anymore. Adapt or die.

Just signed up as recommended by Rob Long and was treated to a picture of Cousin John. A great beginning!
Does Hollywood need to be saved? Yes.

You'd think it was still 1964? Try 1946.
Great list but I need clarification on #49
