There’s still half an NFL season left, so GOOGLE is offering half-off Sunday Ticket in case your team is still good (surprised they’re sending this offer to the NYC market really).
But - this does seem to emphasize the YT TV bundle customers thing (of which I am not one… but hey sending email is free right? Never hurts).
AND: SAG-AMPTP talks will continue today, although Carol is leading the show at this point for the AMPTP, not the studio chief quartet.
🥳: A congratulations to the TEXAS RANGERS, who won their first World Series last night, beating the ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS. TEXAS was the oldest MLB franchise to have never won the World Series.
Although a 5-game, lowest-watched Series ever for FOX… yeah, that’s not gonna help the comps against Q4 22 (especially also minus the Men’s World Cup ⚽️). Lachlan used a “that’s the way the cookie crumbles” phrase to describe it on the FOX earnings call this morning.
REST IN PEACE: Goes out to college hoops coach and media personality Bobby Knight, who died at the age of 83 yesterday.
PLUS: Brooke Shields had a seizure at an NYC restaurant in September (too much water, not enough sodium apparently), and was surprised to “come to” in the ambulance with… Bradley Cooper next to her. Just a fun story in her new Glamour profile (she ended up being fine - she just needs more potato chips daily 🤷♂️).
ALSO: The WGA Awards will be delayed past the OSCARS this year into April, due to strike-induced delays in the TV business.
