Where NFL season is over tonight, and just like your resolution to use TIKTOK and INSTA less often, the GIANTS resolution to start winning games is off to an equally auspicious start.
Always nice to close out a season with 2 meaningless wins (except for a worse-off draft positioning) . . . after 9 straight losses.
THEN: SAG-AFTRA will be up first among the guilds at the negotiating table with the AMPTP, beginning talks on Feb. 9.
PLUS: The National Society of Film Critics jumped on the One Battle bandwagon as well.
ALSO: Here are your Critics Choice Awards winners (updating live).
SO: As we welcome our new state of Venezuela, there’s also good news for Italy — Trump is easing off on his pasta tax idea. #goodcall Well, sorta — the up to 107% Italian pasta #TrumpTax is down to about 25%, with a final negotiated rate expected in March. OH: I guess I should also say that I, too, 🫶 America . . . since the new anchor of the CBS Evening News decided that was very important to clarify as a guiding principle for his era of the program. So, don’t watch those commies over on ABC NEWS. Keep me posted when this show is still in 3rd place in April, and they launch a Vox Populi segment.
FINALLY: This NYT read on how AI is catching a small amount of previously undetected pancreatic tumors in previously completed CT scans in China is pretty fascinating. Also — the cost of a non-contrast CT scan in China before insurance? $25.
