Nine takes as hope and questions (many questions!) abound as Hollywood’s first millennial ascends to the top

If I could really believe this is the last column I’ll ever have to write about the Paramount sale, I would be so filled with joy, I would bestow special achievement Oscars on Shari, David, Bob Bakish and everyone involved in the whole affair, if we are, indeed, finally at the end of this story.

But between the chance for last-minute competing bids and the year long-wait for government approval, there’s still room for many a slip twixt the cup and the lips, so I’ll keep the champagne on ice.

But all the same . . .
