Where the OSCARS are recognizing an #OscarsFanFavorite movie in partnership with TWITTER.
People can tweet their vote (#twote🤔) for their favorite using the hashtag until March 3rd, and the winning movie will be “recognized” during the OSCARS show - because as we all know if you want an accurate picture of what most Americans think, go to TWITTER.
ALSO: Your OSCARS hosts are Regina Hall, Amy Schumer & Wanda Sykes. The Will Packer-produced show will be directed by OSCARS mainstay Glenn Weiss in about 6 weeks.
AND: For any SUPER BOWL viewers also curious about that CHEVY “Sopranos” ad - yes David Chase was consulted… in fact he directed it, also hired the show’s DP. Plus - the shot where AJ & Meadow meet up is near my Central Jersey Shore hometown (and near where Tony kept his boat). Uh that part was not in the article.

For LOTR folks - WB set an April 2024 release for an anime movie set at the fortress of Helm’s Deep. Called “The War of the Rohirrim” and takes place hundreds of years before “The Two Towers”. /THR
SONY attaches “Marry Me” director Kat Coiro to lead “The Husband’s Secret” pic, based on Liane Moriarty book (“Nine Perfect Strangers”, “Big Little Lies”). Script still in development stage. /Deadline
HBOMAX sets “Black Adam” writer Adam Sztykiel #noRelation to write & direct a “Wonder Twins” pic, also in the DC universe. /Deadline

CHINA’s ace censors have struck again, this time with “Friends” - removing the plot point that Ross’s ex-wife is gay, and many bits of dialogue with sexual innuendo from the newly “officially’ released Season 1, which is leaving fans with little hope for “7, 7, 7” in Season 4. Worst part - “How You Doin” is now “Good Day to you madam”. /NY Times
DISNEY+ UK adds Gemma Arterton to “Culprit” heist series with Eddie Izzard. About a heist crew whose members are soon targeted individually by a killer when the crew breaks up. Shooting this month. /Variety
