βοΈ 'Venom' & Oscar Buzz Pics Show π° Life as 'Here' Misses
DISNEYFOX's new original pic bets / AMAZON's movie spend continues / HBO doing 'DTF' dark comedy
Evenin! This is Sean McNulty (connect with me on LinkedIn here if ya like), and hereβs the Hollywood + Media news to know on SUNDAY, November 3, 2024.
Where yes, Daylight Savings Time continues to be one of the dumbest things we do as a country (Iβll get a Google doc started for all of us). Gotta love having to turn on the lights when writing this at . . . 5 p.m. for utterly no good reason.
AND: Man, first The Grammys and now Rudolph is leaving CBS! Yes, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is returning to NBC this year after 50+ years on CBS. Itβll air Fri., Dec. 6 at 8 p.m.
ALSO: Sending a thought out to James Van Der Beek, who announced he is currently battling colorectal cancer at 47-years-old β and just a reminder to my fellow Gen X contingent to not put off those colonoscopies, folks.
THEN: DISNEY has created a new AI-focused exec group centered on the business opportunities π° and risks π¬ that the technology will introduce to its divisions.
YUP: Add Days of Thunder up onto the big board of Hollywood 2024 #ReduxReflux, with Tom Cruise in βearly talksβ for a sequel of sorts. Remember folks β there are no bad ideas. Apparently, there no new ones either.
PHEW: NETFLIX just grew its Christmas movie gross tonnage π now that pesky Halloween is finally out of the way (I thought heβd never leave π), adding 10 Christmas pics that aired on HALLMARK last year (and are not avail on HALLMARK+). A Heidelberg Holiday, anyone?
WAKEUP BOX OFFICE POLL
My fellow bears and I had Hereβs number this weekend, for sure.
FINALLY: Gotta love this quote from one of the two Presidential candidates today in reference to press corps stationed in front of him at a rally: βTo get me, somebody would have to shoot π« through the fake news. And I donβt mind that so much. I donβt mind.β
But ya knowβ just jokes, folks, from Americaβs top comic. Look β he does prop humor too! #AllClass
