Where… who’s ready for Upfronts news?! Yeah I didn’t see that one coming either - YOUTUBE has locked May 15 for its presentation next year at David Geffen Hall, and has also locked the location for the next the years. Although sadly, no 2025 date was announced just yet.
HUZZAH: Channing Tatum & Zoe Kravitz are reportedly engaged, according to People.
ALSO: SAG & AMPTP are going to meet again today… though I gotta say it was impressive yesterday to read and hear accounts across the range of “people in the know” sharing that a deal…:
Is basically a done deal
Needs to be done by end of week ‘or else’…
Or that the two sides remain “far apart” on quite a few key issues (something SAG also said in a statement last night)
Either way - I stick to my thinking of a deal before “Super Wednesday” earnings call day next week (WBD, DIS, ENDEAVOR), Wed. Nov. 8, with a side eye on PARAMOUNT in 2.5 days, on Thursday afternoon this week… but, who knows.
Correctly predicting this and telling people at cocktail parties that I write a newsletter impresses them equally.
AND: Global soccer football fans ⚽️… try and hide your excitement - we’re going back to the desert for the WORLD CUP! I mean, everyone loved QATAR so much… FIFA said let’s run it back and do it again 🥳.
Now let’s see - which other country in the world bans alcohol… and has daily temperatures of 105°F in July? 🤔 Ah, right SAUDI ARABIA! See you all in 2034, when I’m sure the temps will be up to 113°F on average by then.
To note: this is not a done deal, but as AUSTRALIA dropped out of the running… the SAUDIS seems to be the only folks left.
