Mornin! This is Sean McNulty and here’s the Hollywood + Media news to know on WEDNESDAY September 7, 2022.
Where in today’s Q3 Streaming Discount of the Day (I really had no idea our Ankler podcast had such influence!):
HULU+LIVE TV is giving $20 off for 3 months… aka most of the NFL season. It’s for new customers, and some “select” returning customers.
The $56 a month deal is for the taking til Oct 5. So you can pay $168 for that, OR you could spend $52 over that 3 months instead and:
Buy a $25 digital antenna to watch games on local channels for free (and keep the antenna)
Pay $27 for 3 months of AMAZON PRIME to watch Thursday Night Football
And be OK with missing Monday Night Football games on ESPN. Well -except if your local team is playing… as the NFL has to legally air them on a local TV channel too 😉.
PLUS: Josh Groban and Annaleigh Ashford will be the leads for the BROADWAY revival of “Sweeney Todd” to open in March. Thomas Kail (“Hamilton”) is directing.
AND: The Biebs is postponing his North America tour dates due to what sounds like exhaustion, or as he put it on INSTA - to take care of his health after going back out on the road in Europe this Summer after the hiatus for his Ramsay-Hunt Syndrome diagnosis. He had tour dates through the end of the year, and some extending thru March in 2023 so, reschedule TBA.
ALSO: Tickets go on sale here today for the Stand Up For Heroes music & comedy event this Fall on Nov 7 at Lincoln Center, with Springsteen & Jon Stewart among many other guests also announced today.

AMAZON sets Kiernan Shipka to co-star with The Rock in holiday pic
This is his “Red One” project that supposedly has ‘organic’ tie-ins with the overall AMAZON empire but still few details here. Other than we’re looking at Christmas 2023 for this, and it’s described as an Action-Adventure-Comedy. Much like my 30s. As for other talent here…
