Rushfield's CinemaCon: The Scorecard
Reading the tea leaves from the 2023 gathering
My first day in CinemaCon, in the Caesars casino.
I walked out of the restroom and saw a ball of metal rolling my way. I leaped and threw myself back against a wall in the nick of time as some kind of souped-up hot-rodding Rascal scooter careened past me at Formula 1 speed.
As I clung to the wall, I looked at my almost-assassin as he sped by and asked myself, “Was that Adam Aron?!” (I later confirmed, yes it was.)
So began my CinemaCon 2023 sojourn, and in retrospect, there could be no more fitting entry point.
