Klutch Sports Group CEO Rich Paul reps LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Draymond Green, Trae Young, Ben Simmons and Jalen Hurts, to name a few. His message to athletes? “Don't get comfortable in having a lot of money, because the mind has to continue to grow.” Also, from the stage of NXStream Global, he told ESPN analyst and WNBA player Chiney Ogwumike: “Don't just use your summers to gallivant around and spend dollars. It's like, ‘okay, you got two weeks. Let's go up and meet with Salesforce…with Andreessen Horowitz. We're right here in L.A. If you just go to the Beverly Hills Hotel, everyone in every business is having a tortilla soup.’” (4:33) Paul additionally discusses why the likes of Hulu and Amazon will soon be bidding on the NBA (14:43), why sports is “recession-proof” (21:57) and the need for female athletes to be paid more (19:29). “What happened to Brittney (Griner), it's because she had to go over [to Russia] to play and make more money,” he says. “If we can prevent those type of situations by adding value and importance to the women's game, that would be great.”
