ALSO: Today is the next DIAMOND SPORTS bankruptcy court hearing 👀… and the MLB rejected AMAZON’s offer to inject $150 Million into DIAMOND and take over the streaming feeds for some MLB teams, as AMAZON wanted more than a one-year time horizon, and MLB would rather do a longer-term deal themselves instead of part of a bankruptcy hearing, according to the NY Post.
OH: It seems one big reason folks aren’t repaying their federal college loans again - the system is a shitshow. Well over one-hour wait times for customer service, untimely or incorrect bills, out-of-date payment info and one of the largest loan servicing players in the sector uh, left the business since the loan payments were suspended during Covid. Yeah, that’ll do it.
THEN: The Golden Globes (9.4 Million) had an NFL post-game coverage lead-in of 10.6 Million viewers #ThanksCBS! I’m still wondering if a NIELSEN chart with the 30-minute interval ratings breakdowns for the Globes will emerge… but think I’ll just leave it here.
Either way - the EMMYS will not have this kind of lead-in on Monday… and even bigger NFL competition with ABC/ESPN’s Wildcard playoff game.
