The one thing that being part of a contraction era gave those of us who were impacted was permission to be unafraid. The job in entertainment is *both* to stand inside and outside of the industry, so that with access to free media we can stay critical.

Red scare prosecution, the blacklisting of writers, and free speech is frightening.
