I'm not sure that it matters what great ideas, scripts, or books writers come up with when the risk-averse corporate media hive-mind rejects anything their MBA staff and focus groups don't view as a guaranteed blockbuster that will reap hundreds of millions in profits. Meanwhile, the real creatives -- artists, if you will -- find other venues to air and market their self-expression.
