Mornin! This is Sean McNulty and here’s the Hollywood + Media news to know on MONDAY October 17, 2022.

Where the GIANTS have more wins by Week 6 than they had all last year, and the JETS have also matched their win total from last season. RANGERS and KNICKS you’re up next.

Ok fine yeah let’s just stick with football for a while.

ALSO: YE is buying PARLER. I’m just gonna leave that one there I think. No price, or odds on the deal actually closing were given.

IN TODAY’S EDITION:

  • The Box Office finally broke $70 Million in a weekend, with “Black Adam” on deck…

    • BUT: Outside of that, and the 2 big Nov & Dec blockbusters (and maybe a 3rd) - all from the same company btw - Q4 has a lot of gaps and big question marks that are going to make it less of the Box Office savior than it’s being touted. A look at what’s ahead.

  • COMCAST shuts down G4. Again.

  • BRON scales back film financing ambitions, as the latest company finding peril by going deep in a hit-driven business

  • Joel McHale to lead FOX series, as Rupert explores re-combining his FOX & NEWS CORP companies, and more
