Where a 🍻 goes out to fellow Irishman Luke Mee, who rebuilt the actual pub from The Banshees of Inisherin. It seems the pub owner found out the sets were due to be thrown out 😱, and rebuilt the whole thing in his backyard in Kilkerrin - just using footage from the film!
So if you’re in Western Ireland and have all 10 of your fingers (or even just maybe 8), look it up! And if you know Taylor Swift… maybe let her know? Luke is hoping to get her to come by for a free pint, as she reportedly expressed her love for the pub last year during Awards season. Slainté!
PLUS: BARSTOOL founder Dave Portnoy bought back the company for $1, while PENN GAMBLING said they will lose as much as -$850 Million on the BARSTOOL endeavor overall. Hopefully that won’t be topped by $1 Billion in a few years #ESPNBET.
THEN: Your new EMMYS date is Mon Jan 15, 5 months after voting ends.
AND: NETFLIX is re-opening the PARIS THEATER in NYC with full DOLBY ATMOS sound and 70mm projection capability. Pretty sweet lineup of films in 70mm to christen it starting Labor Day weekend, from 2001 to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood to Top Gun. Or ya know, you can just watch them on your phone.
ALSO: The OSCARS are shifting their UK home next year after a 20-year stint on SKY, moving over to DISNEY - on what service exactly it’ll air/deal isn’t final yet.
