Claire Atkinson Joins The Ankler as a Contributing Editor
The NBC News, 'New York Post' and Insider alum will cover media and moguls
We’re pleased to announce that Claire Atkinson has joined The Ankler as a contributing editor.
“Janice Min and Richard Rushfield have a forensic knowledge of Hollywood and they’ve assembled a federation of intrepid reporters,” says Atkinson. “I’m excited to help penetrate the big media and tech stories of the day at The Ankler and with The Media Mix podcast and newsletter.”

British-born Atkinson has written about the global media business on both sides of the Atlantic. She is currently also host of her own The Media Mix podcast, and founder of the newsletter of the same name.
She was most recently Chief Media Correspondent on Insider's business desk. She also reported for NBC News where she was Senior Media Editor for NBCNEWS.com, Nightly News with Lester Holt, MSNBC and NBC News Now. She is also a regular guest on CNBC and appeared on CNN's Reliable Sources.
Atkinson previously covered M&A in media, film, music and the sports business for the New York Post and was also a Sunday columnist.
Atkinson also has written for a host of business publications including The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, Broadcasting & Cable and Ad Age. Her credits also include freelancing for The New York Times and the International Herald Tribune and U.K. newspapers including The Independent and The Observer.
