Evenin! This is Sean McNulty (connect with me on LINKEDIN here if ya like or email me at seanmcnultynyc@gmail.com), and here’s the Hollywood + Media news to know on SUNDAY, November 30, 2025.

Where I hope your sports and turkey comas have started to wear off by now, so your WBD offer numbers are sharp for tomorrow’s deadline. (Bill, is that a gravy stain on page 4?!)

I personally added movie coma to those lists, hitting up 4 movies this weekend (Katey Rich, I’m comin’ for ya!).

So, I’ll give the win of the weekend to both NEON’s Sentimental Value (👏) and the CHICAGO BEARS — nice work taking out the EAGLES on their home turf on AMAZON Black Friday . . . and ya gotta love The Wiener Circle giving away free hot dogs on Tuesday because BEARS coach Ben Johnson took his shirt off after the game.

Gotta say — it’s kinda fun to see Chicago have a real football team again. We’ll get there one day, New York.

AND: I also hope your Thanksgiving break was much better than KALSHI’s.

  • First, on Wednesday, a Nevada judge ruled that KALSHI is subject to the state’s gaming rules. KALSHI is appealing, but will suspend its sports betting contracts in the state starting tomorrow as that process works its way through.

  • Then, on Thanksgiving, news of a nationwide class action lawsuit against the company was filed in New York, accusing KALSHI of operating as an unlicensed sports betting platform and misleading folks into thinking they receive better odds than traditional sportsbooks.

  • So . . . better luck with the Christmas break, KALSHI.

ALSO: The UFC’s first numbered event on PAR+ (UFC 324) will be Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, the first Saturday in January without NFL games (the Conference Championship games are the next day), although no CBS component on this one.

  • Justin Gaethje vs. Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is your top match.

THEN: While AI execs keep trying to reassure people that AI will not take jobs . . . computer maker HP is taking a different tack, saying it’ll cut 4k to 6k jobs over the next 3 years through AI efficiencies and save $1B as a result. That’s about 10% of its 2024 staff count.

PLUS: In case you had any thoughts that the real estate market improved of late — a record low number of people moved in 2024 in data going back to 1948, according to Axios.

  • Granted, perhaps 2025 has been a bit better . . . but I’m gonna guess that NY and NJ, the list bottom dwellers for a change, haven’t changed much this year.

OH: In case you’re wondering where UNI could extend the Wicked universe in a Hobbs & Shaw-like way — Wicked book author Gregory Maguire is publishing a Galinda: A Charmed Childhood prequel novel this September. Elphie: A Wicked Childhood was published earlier this year.

REST IN PEACE: Goes out to noted playwright and screenwriter Tom Stoppard (Shakespeare in Love, Empire of the Sun), who died at the age of 88 this weekend.

KUDOS: To FOX for the best halftime show on Thanksgiving with Jack White and an Eminem cameo in Detroit. Well done!

  • Lil Jon got about uh, 10 seconds on NBC 🤷‍♂️ — and I’m still not really sure what that Post Malone show was on FOX . . . so, uh, 1 for 3 on recreating Beyoncé Bowl, NFL.
