Mayer and Staggs keep hunting, now for sports production companies

Despite spending billions on acquisitions that have so far failed to pay off, Kevin Mayer and Tom Staggs are back out looking for acquisitions to continue growing their startup, Candle Media, according to an executive familiar with their conversations. Most recently, the two talked with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, as well as Colin Cowherd’s sports production company, The Volume.
