Where it’s a tough day in Philly this evening. Kudos to SF on the big, impressive 42-19 win!
AND: Wonka and Migration seemed to be the movies getting the jump on NFL advertising for the holiday season today.
Though WB also did the extra spend on NBC Sunday Night Football tonight to promote the new Godzilla vs. Kong trailer drop - however for some reason, this placement here is free 🤔. This is why NBC makes more money than I do.
PLUS: Here is your New Years Day lineup for the College Football playoffs on ESPN:
5p: MICHIGAN vs. ALABAMA at the Rose Bowl
8:30p: WASHINGTON vs. TEXAS at the Sugar Bowl
Winners play in the Championship on Jan 8.
OH: Taylor Swift cleared $100 Million from SPOTIFY this year, and over $200 Million from Streaming revenue in 2023 according to Billboard. Add that onto likely another 9-figure payday from The Eras Tour movie release alone, and her tour, and… yeah, how long before Taylor just buys the KANSAS CITY CHIEFS? 🧐
ALSO: If you thought AI was an issue now, this 60 Minutes piece tonight on quantum computing is a must watch.
BUT: While the show got lot of access from IBM to their cutting edge quantum computing devlopments… 60 Minutes was a little casual about the ‘Oh btw, they will easily be able to decipher any encription, including nuclear codes’ thing… and leaned a bit much into the ‘wow isn’t this great!’ POV.
SO: Apply this exponential computing speed to video and AI by 2030-ish and - yeah the 2026 guild negotiations probably won’t be much more fun than the 2023 ones. I don’t even wanna think about 2029. Enjoy the 60 Minutes piece here.
