ANKLER POLL: Agents, Managers and Attorneys!
Election Day is over. Now it's time to cast your vote on the state of reps
In this moment of turmoil, never have more people felt more insecure about their place in the industry. And for many that has put a particular strain on that most fraught of Hollywood relationships — the bond between people and their agents.
The place of agencies in the entertainment firmament is one of constant debate, turmoil, change and recently, the subject of a yearlong, wrenching labor showdown (with the WGA). Given all this, The Ankler wanted to take a peek under the hood and find out how are our readers — the most astute and plugged-in people in the industry — are feeling about the state of representation in these unsettled times. Or if you're on the other side of the negotiation, how are you feeling about the rep you deal with? If you're an agent or manager, how do you feel about your own company in comparison to the others?
This is just the first in a series of Ankler Polls to gauge how the community is feeling. Voting is open to paid subscribers only, and each subscriber can only vote once. Vote your conscience — no one (including us) can see who you voted for. Voting is open for one week; we’ll report back on the town’s true feelings about agents, agenting and the rep business in this age of insecurity shortly thereafter.
