Where outside of the talent, I think #MediaTwitter may be feeling the effects of the strike the most.

On Monday, my 5 minutes a day on TWITTER was dominated by outrage at a library film’s existing licensing window… and yesterday was a lengthy debate over exactly when a game show host signed a deal.

Maybe I’ll just check back in there on Friday.

AND: Graham Norton is your new Wheel of Fortune host in the UK, as SONY brings the show back next year via SONY-backed WHISPER NORTH, who also produces a UK version of Jeopardy! there, hosted by Stephen Fry.

Wheel’s last local UK version ended in 2001.

ALSO: The NHL Season will launch on Oct 10, with all 32 teams playing that night. ESPN has a triple header of face-offs… including the NHL debut of (expected) top draft pick Connor Bedard, as the CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS meet the PITTSBURGH PENGUINS in the center primetime slot.

PLUS: The NFL’s CHIEFS vs. DOLPHINS game in Germany this Fall sold out in 15 minutes, with 1.4 Million people in the online queue to buy tix.

🪧 STRIKE FORCE

300+ actors (including many of the… higher paid tier) signed a new letter to SAG-AFTRA leadership, re-committing to their resolve to strike (in addition to the vote they all took a month ago), and signaled a not-so-subtle concern that "SAG-AFTRA members may be ready to make sacrifices that leadership is not." /THR

Your new SUPERMAN is… David Corenswet

Stage names are so overrated amirite? Rachel Brosnahan will be his co-star, taking the Lois Lane role for Superman: Legacy - the first film in the Gunn/Safran DC canon, coming to theaters… in about 2 years.

🙋‍♂️ Yes - you sir. Lemme guess… who tf is David Corenswet?

Besides being the guy with likely the most popular page on IMDB yesterday… he’s a 29-year-old guy outta Philly who was most recently seen in NETFLIX’s Lili Reinhart pic Look Both Ways and HBO’s We Own This City.

Guessing he’ll probably now be known more for this… although hey Lili does have her fans. /Deadline
